Alistair is a strategy and transaction specialist with 10+ years of experience facilitating the flow of seed capital and early stage venture capital to SMEs in developed and emerging markets, as well as financial modelling and deal management. With a transaction focus, he has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, and equity and debt fundraises, regularly leading capital raising and M&A transactions on behalf of MFIs and other financial operators, as well as sustainable product and service businesses in emerging markets. With a strategy focus, Alistair has led the development of investment strategies to support early stage innovation-based MSMEs for a few leading international Foundations, and has developed international capital strategies for several NGOs. He holds an MA in International Economics and International Relations, with a specialisation in International Finance, from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and an MA (Hons.) from the University of Edinburgh. Alistair is a CFA charterholder.
